To offer expertise and services for determining the metabolic and endocrine phenotpyes of mice with diabetes, obesity and related disorders.

To create a database of physiologic, endocrine and metabolic measurements in mice.

Services :

  1. Intraperitoneal or oral glucose and insulin tolerance tests
  2. Insulin clamp and tracer studies
  3. Comprehensive Laboratory Animal Monitoring System (CLAMS)
  4. Energy expenditure (Oxymax indirect calorimetry)
  5. Treadmill exercise and energy expenditure
  6. Infrared locomotor activity monitoring
  7. Body composition analysis (DEXA, MRI)
  8. Telemetric monitoring of feeding and drinking
